Covid-19 first made news three weeks ago when a then unknown virus was affecting people in the province of Wuhan, China. At the time, while cases were rising, they were not truly worrisome as there were very few deaths. Then, suddenly the numbers jumped. We learned that there was a two week incubation period, which allowed the virus to spread rampantly since carriers could not be detected fast enough. Now a mere three weeks into what began as an isolated outbreak, Covid-19 has become a worldwide pandemic with almost 75,000 cases confirmed and over 2,000 dead in China and international cases on the rapid rise.
What is the actual source of the Covid-19 virus and how long might it take to synthesize a viable vaccine? What could happen if the virus mutates farther and becomes even more virulent? What is to be made of China shipping large scale incinerators to Wuhan province? Why is the Chinese government spraying the streets with disinfectant? Will the Chinese government locking down it citizens help? How does a recent finding that Harvard and Yale were found to be taking hundreds of millions of dollars in phantom funds from China and Saudi Arabia play into the situation? How is it that Chinese forgein actors and even scientists from wuhan and military members became students at Harvard while obvuscating their true identities?
