At the ripe age of ten, an inquisitive Gregory E. Carpenter, with nothing but a lighter, an abandoned car and a love of fire, set out to create the man that would become Dr Danger!
However, it would be one fateful night in Wichita Falls, TX that would change history, not only for Dr Danger, but also for the name “Daredevil”. After a chance meeting through a camera lens, Danger joined forces with an up and coming film maker, in an attempt to make a documentary about this near lost profession, “Chasing Danger”.
Over the next three years, Dr Danger’s every move was documented on camera. Danger introduced the cameras to the people who shared his passion and love for the adrenaline rush that only a live stunt show can create. It became clear to everyone involved that this had to be much more than just a documentary. It deserved to reach a much larger audience. It was then that Chasing Danger quickly evolved into a full blown, 16 episode television series, “American Daredevils”, picked up by the History Channel.
